First time I rode my dad's cbr, he had a ball compass on a suction cup mount attached in front of the speedometer with rubber cement. Because at that point in my life, I didn't have my own bike, he moved it under the windshield after I cleared the ton the first time

How about a sun dial on the handlebars so that you know the time too? :)

Don't trust it while it's on the bike. Compasses don't work when near ferrous metals or electrical feilds
