Maybe Candence possessed a bit of Amore’s magic and her love for her adoptive mother awakened said magic. This inner magic could also possibly be a factor as to why she became an alicorn, with her sharing her love to the dragon awakening that transformation

Quite frankly, this could have been made into an animated short. Like maybe future Flurry Heart asks her mom how she became an alicorn and Cadence explains it to her with this story being told in a flashback. Then, perhaps at the end, Flurry asks how her Aunty Twilight became an alicorn and the special ends with Cadence saying, "Well, it all began when she mixed-up the cutie-marks of her friends" with the screen fading to black.

I don't know what to say about Cadence becoming an Alicorn just by calming down a Dragon compared to Twilight Sparkle who helped her friends in being themselves

It does seem like Cadence lives up to her name. Cadance's parents are not the only terrible relatives. Her ancestor Princess Amore allowed the young colt Sombra to suffer a ton of pain every crystal faire and ton of torment from bully ponies. Cadence's life of acceptance and friendship is the opposite of Sombra's. I wonder if Prismia was infected by the changelings given that she has similar characteristics to them love sucking ability. The plot does seem a bit rushed with vague or absent reasons behind sudden appearing characters or agendas for opposing ponies. I think Cadance would have been better off as a teacher instead of ruler of the Crystal Empire. Being a descendant of someone doesn't necessitate the to do the same as them.

Didn't we already have a backstory for Cadence in Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell? It was a chapter book that was published in 2013.

The comic sounds like plot hole central for some of it. Not super well explained. And her parents are still a mystery. I feel like the animated movie Prince of Egypt did the "abandoned baby in basket" thing. Mostly because it gives us a little more connection between the mom and baby. The mom still really loves her baby, but can't keep him, so she sends him on water, in a basket, to hopefully be adopted by somebody more able to take care of him. But for Cadence's parents, we basically got NOTHING. XD

I do think this origin story of Princess Cadence from the pictures of this comic is interesting to me. I haven't heard about the other book: "Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell" until now. I haven't read it yet. since we got this Comic of Cadence's Backstory, I hope that they will make another comic of this type of story so we can finally see who are Cadence's Real Parents and why did they abandoned her when she was a baby. and also what happened to her adopted family in that small village. I also hope that we'll get some Comics about some of the other characters origin stories like Princess Celestia and Luna or maybe Cozy Glow so we can see how Celestia and Luna became the Rulers of Equestria and also how Cozy Glow was evil all this time and we can hopefully see who are her real parents. I would love to see those 2 Comics get made so it can fill in the gaps of those plot holes.
