Build more universities, bring existing univerities to the level and standard of top universities of the country, quality of education and courses should be raised in every single university. For this budget for education must be increased.

Another factor is corona pandemic, since many students did not appear for their exams bcz of the lockdown CBSE calculated the marks of rest remaining exams by taking average of the subjects which students gave. I have seen many students in my locality getting 100/100 and 99/100 without giving the exam. This is just bcz of this average calculation.

last year the first cut off at Hindu College, for philosophy was *92.50* and for 2020 it is *97*. I think they have confused cut off for GDP. smh

DU must increase the cutoff to 120% instead of 100% since the number of toppers is increasing day by day. What baloney!! Pathetic Indian education system.

so basically "OVER-POPULATION" is the root cause of every problems in india, few seats r available in those universities, and millions of students r applying .

More students want admission to du because of the fact that du is less expensive as compared to other colleges. Other colleges should lower their fees.

Those who are saying that population is the problem:
It is ONE of the problems.
The govt needs to build more universities. Like in China, those who fail to get into colleges get vocational education/training. That's how China used its population to its advantage and became a superpower. If we want to come even close to China in terms of economy, GDP and manufacturing, we need to do the same.
