It's WAY TO EARLY To Do This!! ~~ Planting Collards & Shallots

Fall is my favorite time of the year, especially because I get to plant and grow a few of my favorite veggies, namely collards and shallots!!
I normally plant my brassicas towards the end of September into October but considering collard starts are getting hard to find AND they're expensive to buy in the grocery store, I'm planting mine out now but I think it's way to early to be doing this!!
Let's get out hands in the dirt and plant a few things, check it out and I thank ya for watching!!!

This summer has been so rough, I think a lot of us are ready to just call it fall and get going with the cool weather crops.

I know this was last fall, but I am excited to get my Deep South Mississippi fall garden started soon for this year. This summer has been so very hot. We are waiting a couple more weeks, but getting our beds ready. Always nice to see a fellow mississippian doing gardening!

We had a downpour the other day! I haven't thought about what I am planting for Fall Garden, waiting for it to get under 90 degrees.

My little chart I got at the local feed store said I could plant collards on 8 15. Im waiting a couple more days though. I do have a potato tower, some brussel sprouts and 4 cabbage in a shady area. Still hot here in East Texas

This weather sure has been wired. Bur at least we been getting some rain and cooler temperature. It's been making the plants and grass grow. I think in the last two weeks we got around 3 or 4 inches of rain. Have a good and safe weekend coming up

Good luck Dan. Nothing wrong with experimenting with different things. I hope it works out great for you.

Good luck Dan you never know they just might grow what about putting out some seeds anyway don't mess with starting them indoors just plant them with the other things and if they come up transplant them when they're big enough can't hurt

Like the raised beds. Can be done by anyone with a backyard or front yard.
