..... Hi, I’m Alex De Leon, 60 years old, widower, and a stroke survivor from the Philippines. Since my stroke in 2017, my eyesight, already affected by acute myopia and amblyopia (20/200), has worsened due to macular degeneration. I struggle to see even with contact lenses, and I now face the risk of going blind. I walk with a cane daily, and my right side is too weak to work or write.
