Dean’s biggest problem was always his jealousy and how quick he was to anger and to make assumptions. He had plenty of reasons to be mad at Rory, for sure but it was always his intense and unhealthy jealousy that pushed her into Jess’s arms or Tristan in certain circumstances. She started lying to avoid his boyfriend rage.

I’m the first season he’s fine honestly, he brings her books and isn’t TOO mean to Lane. Sure he pulls Rory away from Lane in the first phew episodes but that was Rory’s problem. But in the rest of the show he gets worse, and worse, and worse.
