Hirohito

Hirohito was the 124th Emperor of Japan and a figure who held office from 1926 to 1989. II. He served as emperor of Japan during World War II. At the end of the war, Hirohito's influence and role among military leaders is controversial; however, it has been recognized as an important symbol in the democratization and modernization of Japan in the post-war period.
