I mean BDS Main roster this split was pretty much a top tier EUM team if you look at the players.
So I think everyone can have a quite accurate idea of how EUM teams would perform vs bottom tier LEC teams : Win some, lose some.

I don't see a problem with a top teams from the second league being better than the worst teams from the first league. In fact this was the whole premise of relegations. And franchising is accepting this competitve drawback in favour of stability for long term Investors. You can't have both.

And here we have why franchises suck. No relegation, no promotion, nothing at stake for lower level LEC teams. Just boring matches with no significance towards the end of a split, where you know you aren't making playoffs but can't lose your seat either.

I think there should be relegation for the last team and then the best team in Eu masters can get into the LEC

EUM teams have weaknesses even bottom tier LEC teams would quickly identify and abuse.
As bad as LEC can be, the bottom teams are used to scrim a team like G2 daily, I don't see them being weaker than EUM top teams.

It's like Joe Marsh said in an interview with doublelift, there should be relegation matches for bottom teams to improve competitivity in europe, you can't have astralis winning 5 games in an entire year and don't punish it.

Didn't the MAD was converted from EUM to LEC in full roster and won both splits in the next year? They struggle the first time they got to LEC but they had potential

This actually DOES happen in minor regions like LATAM. Here the two worst performing teams of the year enter a tournament with the two best 2nd division teams. It’s actually called the “Promotion/Relegation” tournament. It’s actually very fun to watch. It’s a literal DEATHMATCH between teams that want to keep their spot and teams that want to climb.

How is it a problem tho? Isn't it why in many traditional sports, there is promotion and relegation? Isn't it more so a motivation if it is allowed?

Top ERL teams are at the same level of organisation and stuff like bottom tier LEC teams. They are full pro, not semi pro. Real pro.
They just don't have spot in franchise. And what Jankos said means Riot don't want them to play to maintain LEC as a "best league" in Europe.

The LEC has a problem with the number of teams in it. There’s simply not enough slots for every player who has LEC level to be in LEC. Even at EUM level, there are probably at least 4 teams’ worth of players who have LEC level

If LEC was supposed to have the best teams then the EU Master teams should be promoted. It’s actually a joke that you buy your spot in the LEC. Like just this season some of our star players are from EUM like Flakked and Targamas.

It’s like putting college teams against the pros in any other sport. EUM aren’t even close. The goal of those teams is to build up great players.

They scrimmed LFL teams and went on a crazy winning streak in LEC playoffs.

Hence, LFL teams are OP.
