I remember how i was proud of myself when i watch interview with SHM explaining how they made this bass. Because i use this trick without any music tutorial and i create remake bass of "one" with sampled kick long time ago.

There's some nuance to the trick too. A couple of the more accurate remakes switch to pitching after a certain point rather than just relying on shortening the loop size
