How to Clean a Seat Belt

Proper way to clean a seat belt including all the tools and products you'll need.

Seat belts are the worst, they can be the dirtiest part of the interior, great video on how to clean them

Hack: if you don't have two people, put a clip (one that you would use to close a bag of potato chips) near the top of the belt to stop it from going back inside itself.

Just using a steamer and wiping with a dry cloth usually does the job, be careful if you decide to use a brush (preferably don't use one) as it can loosen fibres on the belt and fluff up.

Even if you don't find clamp, or any grip tool, just stretch seat belt out and close the door and work out of car so harsh cleaning chemicals stay out.

Crazy easy hack. Just pull belts all the way out the doors. Close doors and holding belt away from paint just pressure wash then by hand get the ends that you are unable to hit with pressure. Bam....done. and no fancy excessively expensive chemicals either. Just some liquid laundry detergent diluted into a spray bottle and VERY little work both of which are what detailers in the real world need to look at.
