5:17 I don’t agree with this whole avengers thing. Nobody was saying that about Steph and the warriors and Brady. A lot of teams have very skilled players some are more well known than others and the 49ers roster has not even won a super they are just skilled players that have been around each other for a while, picking up players to match the system just like any other team. Purdy is a great QB. I hope they win out and prove who they are. Every team has very skilled players on offense, however not all have great QBs or defense to win games.

I’ve been saying for 2 years now that it’s time for Deebo to go. He’s not a good route runner. He ran too hard that it kept getting him hurt and when he couldn’t go that hard anymore he wasn’t gonna be as productive. Plus teams just assume when he lines up in the backfield that he’s getting the ball and 95% of the time he is. There’s no mystery there anymore.

Nick needs to stop putting so much emphasis on how good Deebo is. Jujuan Jennings is a better receiver than him. He gets 0 separation and is largely a hybrid gadget player. Without CMC and Aiyuk he is VERY easy to stop. He can only a run a few routes.

What Purdy needs most imo is comfort with his receivers not necessarily so called avengers . Purdy is heavily reliant on timing. If u watch his film when he is truly on he is throwing the ball before the receiver even makes his break. Thats why is connection with Aiyuk was off because he missed training camp, and if you watch him with Pearsal there not on the same page. All this has lead to him holding the ball more, and using his legs more. Deebo's situation is different he has never been someone who gets himself open consistently his touches has always been mostly schemed and he has been a YAC monster. The combination of lack of screens and not breaking tackles at the rate he used to has lead to his drop off. Like I said though these are just my opinions, and observations. I could be wrong

I think Deebo is one of the best pure football players to play the game. I also think that he's gotten a little banged up over his career and thats compounded by the fact that young guns are showing up (Pearsall, Mason, Guerendo), Jennings has really been elevated by Brock, Kittle is playing lights out, etc. Anybody calling him washed just doesn't know football, but he has lost a little bit of his step (like Aiyuk), and there are others ready to step up and make plays.
