Another great video. My son and i love watching them. I have a 2018 honda grom and soon thinking about getting a scooter.

neat idea to do this light mod, BUT can the scooter support both of the lamps lit at the same time for an extended period of time? taking into account the load of both bulbs drawing double the load intended on the circuit, I've smoked stators before due to increased load. but I admire the idea.

I just got my 09 125 zuma 12 days ago and luvn it.
just subscribed finding your oil change video.
this is very helpful too.

my questions are..
after the modification, are both beams high or low? or can you alter now?

Hey Mitch sending love from New York hope all is well! I would really love if you could some day do a video on a Kymco Agility 125. Where I live the mechanics charge so much to fix them 😢. Also thanks again cause after this I think you convinced me to get a Sazuki Burgman 😎🤙🏼!

Good idea. I did the same on my motorcycle. I adapted the lights of a Triumph Speed triple to my Suzuki GSF1200. My concerns are whether the wiring harness of the lights is strong enough to handle double the power. Not that things start to get warm and melt. Short circuit danger. Better put a new thicker cable (1.5 mm2 instead of the original 0, 75 mm2) from the battery to the lights and switch with a relay between high and low beam. The original line switches the relay. That 's how I did it.

I would suggest soldering those connections, those quick splice connectors have a limited life before corrosion and vibration results in bad connections. Not so bad in this usage as they're simple to get at and replace, but why have to do it twice.

I would suggest against this. The lights are powered off of the Scooters alternator/generator. Having both lights on at the same time will put too much strain on the system. One way around this would be running LEDs but repesecting no more than 35w combined output

Very cool, looks good with both lights on! 🤙🏼

There are some that say two headlights on a motorcycle is a bit more dangerous. The idea being that if you're coming up on a car, they will mistake the two lights close together as a car that's far behind them instead of the bike that's right behind them, and potentially change lanes right in front of you. Worth considering whenever you pass someone at night. But the two lights look great!

Wonder if this works on a burgman 400/650?
And great video as always bud!

the one light is a safety feature. the on coming car cant tell if its two light close or two light far apart. causing the illusion of it being farther away than normal.

Can you make a video explaining how to do it on a PIAGGIO BV 350 2019?!…🙏

Hey Mitch i was just wondering if that headlight mod would work on a Piaggio maxi scooter with twin headlights

So it ends up able to be low and high beams wit both lights?

I did something like this on my 1967 ford pick up truck when I was a teen ager, ...I wired the two headlights so when I would go to high beam the low beam would stay on too, ....those old tungsten sealed beams were not very bright, ...lucky I was, ....back then anyway, ....LOL
