Finally someone takes this car on an autocross course! Been wondering how this thing actually handles the tight stuff

I had one of these as a daily for about 7 months, thought about bringing out for a day of auto cross on the crappy oem all seasons. Watching this, I'm glad I didn't lol. Neat little car for a daily for sure.

And then those who think they know better say the Torsion Beam has taken away the fun in this Mazda 3. I think this video proves them wrong.

Keep in mind this isnt meant to be a sports car. Its a performance inspired daily driver that mazda built to be a mature and more luxurious car with some get up. It is by no means a hot hatch or another speed 3. The fact you can still compare it to sports cars and that it does as well as it does is pretty damn impressive seeing as mazda said themselves it isnt a sports or performance car. So you really can't compare it to other cars built for such a task.

Love mazda 3. But the amount of body roll is noticeable in this car. But nevertheless it doesn't take away the fun that someone can have with their car! Keep on brotha

That's a good grip for a front wheel drive. I own one myself, but it's a pity that in Europe they don't sell the turbo version.

Love my 3 with the Hybrid X engine, but I do wish we could get the 2.5L turbo option in the UK

Looks like a set of brakes, tires and sway bars are all thats really needed to make it just that lil bit better! Pretty impressive and really quiet aside from the squealing all seasons. I have a 2018 Mazda6 with this same engine but the car is heavy. Just a tire change helped a huge amount but have brakes going on next (stock actually lasted 57k miles!!!) drilled/slotted and slightly better pad going on. May do brake lines and fluid at a later date. Intake going on as well. Will see how that does but I miss the snappy handling of an awd car. I may get this lil car instead... thoughts?

Awesome drive but dang you can see the cars chassis not able to keep up. Gotta get some body/ chassis reinforcement on her bad, at least some upgraded sway bars minimum with proper coilovers. Good luck with the driving!
