Funny, Walz is the first politician I feel I even partly understand. He is close to my age, and hails from the plains of Nebraska, where my family has been for 5...no, 6 generations, now! I know the kind of people Nebraskans, and Midwesterners in general, are. Salt of the earth, friendly, generous, decent, hard working folks. He's a graduate of Chadron State, a small, but very good college in northwest Nebraska, where I did my freshman year. I also know the kind of people who attend Chadron State; practical rational students more interested in the education aspect of college, and not so much the "social" parts! Having some first-hand experience and knowledge of how Mr. Walz was raised makes me confident that he is really the man you see on your TV. He's the real deal. I could vote for him, even if I disagree with him, because he is a man of honor and can be trusted. That won't be an issue, though...I agree with him.
