Jack is a truly sweet and caring man who is always willing to protect Elizabeth from physical harm. He is respectful and considerate of her, no matter what the situation might be. Jack and Elizabeth might be perceived as old fashioned and prudish in comparison to other couples but their relationship is a perfect blend of unique and wholesome. Elizabeth balances his courageous and assertive personality with her determination and personal emotional strength to do needs to be done and is no longer afraid to get her hands dirty. Jack deliberately plans surprises with random romantic gestures which make Elizabeth feel sincerely cherished and loved. She comes home each and every day, knowing that she is always safe and appreciated. She is always able to discuss what’s going in her mind with Jack without worrying about what his reaction might be. Elizabeth is frequently showered with physical affection in the form of reassuring hugs and sweet kisses. She knows that she is able to know that he will be there for her, no matter what happens and vice versa. Elizabeth will share spontaneous laughs with him as well as find him to be a shelter where she can share unspoken tears. ❤

This was so well done! We had been waiting the whole time for it ever since they planted the idea in our heads at season 2. It was interesting how they did this because they had him leave and decide to propose because he didn't know if he was ever coming back which is sadly sweet.
