I didn't know California is going through a ban with Red Dye 3, but I will say my nephew is literally restricted from it by his Doctors because it affects his seizures.

In the EU, we have a lot of American snacks but they are made differently, so that they pass the regulations.

Capsaicin is literally the thing that make food "burning hot spicy"
The best remedy against that is cold milk.
The sugar, fat, and protein in the milk will help wash away some of the capsaicin.
Swish the milk like a moush wash.

its crazy how vivid the american pez colors are, the eu ones are almost white and only have a hint of the colors🍬

Lol, my country banns everything 😂 we do have very strict food controls, though, for which I'm honestly glad. They also control if companies try to lie with their consumables. Like, when they say their olive oil is extra virgine, they literally test it if it's true. They even control the labels etc. Like, if the company says their olive is from some specific province in Italy, they check the legitimately.
I ordered some twinkies to test from amazon before though..lol.
But, you can get other products from hostess in special shops that sell stuff from around the world.

most states have already banned hormone pumped food, so don't get deceived by just the label "no hormones added" and look at the other things labeled. Food education is just as important to financial education, everyone take care of yourselves as must as you can! :)

Irn Bru is pronounced Iron Brew - it’s delicious with vodka! Enjoy!

1:57 Part of the reason they likely say it may not cause harm is because we can't do testing on humans, and sometimes rat and mice studies are wrong!
Not in that they contain incorrect findings, but that they sometimes are not applicable to humans.

It's important to remember still we are two (or three) separate species, and there are differences in our morphology that will create different results in tests. I was in a behavioral and neuro genetics class this past semester, and we were shown an actual example of how these rat/mice studies may not be accurate to humans, as the example we saw the results for humans and mice were complete opposites of each other. (If people have any interest in that study, I can go back through my notes and see if I can find it from there)

A little known fact for US chicken consumers. Chicken raised and sold are not allowed to be on hormones. As is with any US farmed poultry. No hormones is a marketing thing. They were banned being used in to 50's.
Articles and even in the USDA FAQ this information is seen.

My issue is that they won't replace Red Dye 3 with beet extract or annatto and will replace it with Carmine or cochineal extract (those are cheaper). That's crushed up bugs that live on the agave plant (the same one for agave sweeteners and tequila). I have an epi-pen for it because the allergy is that severe to it and wasp stings.

so i live in scotland, irn bru is amazing, one of my favourite drinks. my dad used to clean carpets for a living and he hated having to do irn bru stains because they were the hardest to get out. once they dry in, there's so little chance of getting it out XD

capsaicin isnt that much of an issue. you are a lot more likely to just have some stomach issues at worse rather than any sort of identifiable nuerotoxic effects.

Kraft stated changing their formula years ago since buying yellow 5 and yellow 6 got more expensive. Kraft is trying to get rid of food dye from their products. The only reason i know this is my sister is allergic to all these dyes. She gets an anaphylactic reaction
