An interesting idea and I agree in principle,
My only concern is the idea that the locusts will be naturally controlled, however currently due to land clearing we have removed most the natural predators so that feed back mechanism is not working properly. An argument could be made that any by-kills from pesticide would of been killed by lack of food anyway after areas had been striped of vegetation.

Okay well I guess he is going to feed are the farmer families and explain to their children why their parents can't afford to feed them. because some man sided with the swarms of insects.. save the bugs.. screw the starving farmers.. when this guy gets sick... drop him off in the middle of a locust swarm... and see home much help they give him.... USE COMMON SENSE PEOPLE !!!! EVERYTHING IN BALANCE...
