Thank you Professor. No one else explained where y = f(c)+f'(c)(x-c) came from (from Linear function formula) except you.

I am missing something here, doesn't Calculus work out the slope exactly at the point of interest? I'm just not gettin' this shit. Not personal to you, I have watched other videos on this same topic and something is not connecting as to why I need bother getting a linear approximation when Calculus solves the problem instantly? Please wise me up. So after watching this to its completion, and creating the table of values in Word I didn't experience the heavens opening with an amazing cognition explaining why this arm of my Maths studies touched on this topic. If I have missed something, please share this with me. Thanks for your great series of videos, you explain things really well.
