First Ride on a BRAND NEW 2023 Honda Grom

I just downgraded. I sold the Honda CBR500R and bought a 2023 Honda Grom! I'm kidding. I didn't. My sister really wanted to get into riding motorcycles, so she was gifted a brand new 2023 Honda Grom and I drove it home from the dealership and give my truly first ride thoughts. After about a 50-minute ride on the Honda Grom my mind was completely convinced this is one of the top bikes to start a brand new rider on. Note: brand new. Not someone who knows how to ride (shift, etc) but someone who has never touched a motorcycle, dirtbike, etc and has zero knowledge on riding.. I'm convinced this may be the single greatest option. I was shocked by how comfortable and beginner-friendly this bike is. It really doesn't get much better. This is really ground zero for a new rider and it fits perfectly. If you're looking to get started into riding motorcycle and have absolutely zero knowledge, don't knock the Honda Grom. This is a fantastic little bike and again, arguably the single best beginner motorcycle. Next video is a top speed run on the Honda Grom.

I’m 5’9” on the backside of 65, have a CRF300L…and vertigo. Loved the 300 but have flopped it or nearly flopped it several times when coming to a stop when it springs back on the suspension and for me it is heavy and a real strain to get the bike back up.
Just bought a new GROM and it’s a PERFECT fit!
The Mrs has a Ruckus and I would always take hers instead of mine for running errands.
Also trailer both bikes to campsites and there is SO MUCH more room not to mention light weight and easy to shift around to get in the perfect spot! Lol.
The GROM will certainly take me anywhere I want, even on back country gravel roads and paths!

Same grom I got since I’m a new rider, it’s been super smooth learning how to ride aside from a couple Messups shifting to second gear, but I haven’t spilled it yet so I’m proud haha

I might seem unstable because both because of weight but also because the frontsuspension is kind of crappy. Öhlins makes inserts for it.

Was thinking about this as a first bike (I'm 5'3), but for me, I think its worth it to just get a Kawasaki Z400, as I know it'll be better for a couple years for my situation. I live in Jersey as well (Medford). Plan on taking my MSF course in a couple months. One thing I will say is enticing about the Grom is that price point and being able to resell it later on.

i hate when people say Honda groms are $3499 i just tried to buy the 2023 Honda grom from redline in myrtle beach and they quoted me at $4800 for a stock 2023 or $5800 for a 2023 with a Yoshimura exhaust. they msrp at $3499 that is what the dealer ship pays for them

I don't think Honda Grom is a beginner bike I think it's more of a commuter bike not to mention it's a cheap name brand from a reputable company it gets great fuel economy it's good for just riding to work they're simple and easy to work on the new ones have an oil filter and an expanded gearbox just great little motorcycles for Puttin around I know my insurance is relatively cheap mine now has off-road tires and they used to go on trails around town it's just an all-around great with a commuter

I’m learning on a Honda 600 right now and taking my license on it. and tried my 22 for the first time. Man that little bike is so fun to ride and you have absolutely no fear riding that little bike. Can’t wait to ride it again

Btw. Let’s see wenn your sister practice, I would love to see that.
