As a manager of Walmart we jack up our prices a little over a month before Black Friday then go back to how they were and call it a Sale

I thought this may have been obvious. The rule of thumb is that the "on sale" price is usually the actual value of the product anyway, so you're not getting a true "sale" at all.

You can also look at items that have been in your cart, notice the price has gone up but also has a black Friday deal tag next to it. Example, I have had these solar driveway lights in my cart for almost six months, were $39, now on sale for black Friday for, Drum $59
