I remember Kawasaki being one of my favorite characters in the anime. I don't know I just found him to be kind of a charming & funny character in both the 4kids & japanese version & found him to be the best background character in the anime, even though they did run the joke into the ground of him being a bad cook...

I like to think that the end of Sector C is a subtle nod towards Squeak Squad, as there were several pieces of shortcake locked behind a door, which was the whole reason why Squeak Squad took place.

Out of all the things that the game actually does good (I'm still the one who thinks that the gameplay was good, but not like unique like Planet Robobot), the escape sequence is more so a highlight for me. The fact that you actually traverse through previous levels of the Jambastion after defeating Zan Partizanne really brings home that feeling of it just... doing something that is actually interesting that isn't really seen as a waste of time. I also like to believe that the final boss is one reason to experience this game, but let's be real here, who ever plays the game just for the final boss?


...And before anyone asks, I thought Flamberge looked like a boy as well. Doesn't really help how she almost looks like one of the Rowdyruff Boys from Powerpuff Girls.

The ESP/Ness connections go even further- Robobot's bio for ESP outright refers to Ness, while his Guest Star bio in this seems to reference the first line of Smiles and Tears, the Eight Melodies from Earthbound (not their counterpart from Earthbound Beginnings.)

Funny thing about flamberge: given how she talks about francisca, her description, and some stuff about francisca's later dialog and description and flamberge's description, i actually thought they were a lesbian couple.

Turns out, according to Japanese dialog, they're sisters.

I'm guessing knuckle Joe was added because a) he was one of the more major characters in the anime (even if it really was only three episodes) and b) he's a representation of kirby's combat focused ability.

It's the THUNDER THOT, as she's known by the fandom, which, upon introspection on this comment, is actually kinda shitty.

i know Ted's joking about kirby's backstory, but I will go full on fan theory in the final part about what this game suggests.
