OMG Thankyou Everyone who has watched and supported!!! Never in a million years did I ever think I'd have a video reach 10k in a week. 🎉

April give yourself some grace. I can hear the pain in your voice. Life happens. Set backs happen… Don’t look back just move forward. I’m rooting for you guys!

Hi April. I think the word you are looking for is support, not help. It is always support no matter if it is financial, emotional or physical. Don’t worry everyone has to restart at some stage in life.

Years ago I found my dad’s savings account book from the 1940’s-most weeks he could only deposit $.25 but never missed a week-have followed the model of saving even if it’s not the amount planned. Lessons Learned.

Life happens. I have had to empty my binders 5 times. I'm glad you are back. I'm praying for you all.

I am going to be starting over myself. I spent a week in the hospital and at the same time my partner lost his job. We have savings thankfully from sinking funds and I can cover bills. But it’s gonna be a long journey back to where we were before everything happened. Sending some support your way, you got this!

You are so strong coming out and being 100% honest. There will be sets back, but as long as you don’t give up!!

April I have had to start over twice. My husband died in December and I fell off the wagon. Started back over in March and then in July our home was destroyed by a tree making my daughter and I move out to a rental. I am starting over. Life happens and it can suck. Hang in there, you got this. The fact that you admit to your failings shows that you are a strong, resilient person.

Girl it’s okay.. it Happens to the best of us. I failed a few times but I’m not giving up. Hang in there and you are doing great at this. Give yourself grace.

Don't ever feel bad for saying you needed to help him. We as women are help mates, partners, etc. You did the right thing. Life happens to all of us. Here's to getting back on track🎉. He saw you happy and that made him happy. He was vulnerable with you, and you came to his aide. That's what a partnership is. Awesome team!!

The pain in your voice is heartbreaking…. Just know that we have all been there! This is just a blip on the radar for you guys! Appreciate how fortunate you are that you’re on the same mission together! So many couples are not! Your lessons learned and transparency will likely help others even more than if your plan had turned out perfectly! We all have setbacks…. It’s about what you do next! Thanks for sharing your journey, uphill and down.. Also, anxiety is a beast! Take care of you first! It makes the rest of the journey a lot more manageable.. Much love!!

April, I think sometimes we get carried away with the budgeting momentum because it is a thrill to see money adding up in our envelopes. We forget that we budget so that we can face life's challenges too, when it happens. Dave Ramsey calls him Murphy. You had that cash when you needed it the most and that is what really matters. Had you not been budgeting, you would have been in a more worse situation. Don't give up, change your perspective and know that you really are just like all the rest of us. Human. Trying to get by in life....BUT....we have a secret weapon....The Budget!
Thank-you for being vulnerable and transparent. It makes me feel normal. Great video!

Hi April,

I commend you for being brave and transparent with your YouTube family. It's okay to admit that you messed up on something and it's okay to start over/refresh. Give yourself some grace. Look at the positive. Your hard work and passion for what you do is actually what helped your situation. Imagine if you never took the time to save like you did. You were able to pay off $900 on debt at the drop of a hat. Everybody can't say that. And $20 seems small compared to what you had saved up when this happened but that's $20 not being wasted elsewhere and $20 towards your goals. Thank you for sharing and please know what you're going through is normal/life. It's okay. 💙

New sub, so proud of you guys for coming together, opening up a joint account and discussing the plan together! It can be hard doing it separately. Tyson's heart was in the right place trying to make you happy. I know it will be a struggle, your new plan, but you have each other support, so you got this!

New Subbie ❤❤❤ Everyone is going through money obstacles especially with the student loans starting up. Forgive yourself and move on. It’s alright. Do what you have to do. It’s your budget and you both know what needs to be done. I’m proud of you for returning, taking and starting over. Many don’t. You’ll only fail if you don’t try! Hugs and Super prayers and blessings to both of you 🎉🎉❤❤❤

April. Don’t let let anyone judge you. We have been there. Let me say I have been there. I had 10 k in my emergency binder and probably another 7-10 k in my other binders.
Gone. All Gone. I just started over 2 weeks ago. Take a deep breath. Keep showing up for yourself. You are doing a phenomenal job.

April, this is my first time seeing your channel and this is the video that was suggested to me. I am in a similar situation. I am so grateful to have found your video! FIRST, let me say you and your husband are doing AWESOME. You are graciously letting us into your life, which you never have to do. The two of you were trying to help each other and in the end set yourselves back. much like the book the Gift of the Magi. As horrible as that must feel in the moment, that shows the love you have for each other. But the important thing is you started communicating. As long as you do that and stay in step and be open and honest you guys will bounce back and be where you want to be. I hear the pain in your voice. I was JUST there. Our bills took a hit because I was not putting money where it needed to go. I finally opened up to my husband and after being totally embarrassed and thinking he would be mad, he simply said "Thank you for telling me. Please lean on me." I was in tears at the support and love in that small sentence. You guys got this! Just stick together and stick to it. You can do this. Thank you for sharing your story with us. It takes an incredible amount of strength to put such a personal thing out there. We are in hard times, but I hope and pray you guys get above water and in a more comfortable place SOON! Thank you for letting me know I (and many others) are not alone. Sometimes you can feel like you are drowning alone in darkness with this type of situation because we don't tend to talk about these things with other people. Oh, and don't worry about ANY negative comments. This is between you and your family. Only YOU can determine what works for you. ~Steph
