2014 is a year of tremendous growth for AIDS Project Los Angeles as we expand our health and support services for gay and bisexual men while continuing our longstanding commitment to serve those living with HIV/AIDS. In January, the Affordable Care Act brought health insurance to millions who were previously uninsured, and to meet this new demand, APLA Health & Wellness was designated to operate a comprehensive medical, dental and mental health clinic in South Los Angeles. When completed, this 7,000 square foot medical facility will have exam rooms, a laboratory and dispensary, nursing offices, and counseling rooms along with an integrated dental clinic and space for our comprehensive HIV prevention programs.
