Very interesting to see your Top 10. I think, I'll do mine 5-6 days from now, hoping to be able to finish one or two more.

I jusrt finished "This is Going to Hurt" and loved it so much! I was impressed at how Adam Kay so able to simultaneously be funny and convey a serious message. My boyfriend read "If You Tell" and was completely shocked by the horrible abuse that went on it the family. Hope you had a happy holiday!

Enjoyed seeing your top ten.

Someone I follow on Instagram said that she liked the romance in 11/22/63, but she wished that Oswald character would stop getting in the way.
Merry Christmas.🎄😊🙏

Enjoying hearing about your favorite reads of this year. I still need to read The Nickel Boys. Am definitely intrigued by 11/22/63 (and I've never read Stephen King either).

I was gonna say the art in Wonderstruck was giving me Hugo Cabaret vibes, then I realized... same author. d'oh! 🤣

Being Heumann sounds super interesting! I've started to read disability books for the first time ever this year, so this is DEFINITELY going on my TBR 😊

Hi! I'm a new subscriber. *11/22/63* was one of my favourite books in 2018, I love it. And I also read Adam Kay's book this year and enjoyed it. My top 3 books I read for the first time this year (in no particular order) are *The Things They Carried* by Tim O'Brien, *I Know Why The Caged Birds Sing* by Maya Angelou and *In Order To Live* by Yeonmi Park. Happy Reading!

Nice mix of books on your list!
I read Whitehead's The Underground Railroad when it came out, and even though there were some excellent memorable scenes in it, it ended up being a mediocre read for me. Was hesitant to read The Nickel Boys because of that, but since so many people seem to like it even more than his previous book, I might have to check it out now.
Wonderstruck sounds so interesting, seems right up my alley!
Have you seen the tv version of 11/22/63? I saw some of the first few episodes when it aired in Finland, and although I wasn't the biggest fan of main actor (James Franco), the setting and the concept drew me in. Just like you said, that element of being sent back in time and experiencing a kind of life where food is fresh and things just seem to function differently.

Added a few to read at the library from this. I’m halfway through 11/22/63. I loved the part in Maine. Need to finish the rest.

The Time In Between was on my want list forever! By the time I finally found a copy I couldn't start it--you know, that 'I don't wanna' inexplicable resistance? UGH.
