I got my hair dyed red and none of this happened for me! It stayed in well for a month and a half and never once bled! You have to wash with cold water and make sure you don’t wash your hair for 72 hours after dying!! I guess it’s different for everyone :)

Using cold water kept my hair pink for so much longer. Also, when you have a coloring your hair, try to not wash your hair as frequently as you usually do.

Just a side note: if you dye it with bleach it will look brighter

i think it bleeds because they did not use a permanent color type and used semi permanent type? i did red copper and it only bled the first time i washed it but later on it never does anymore and it’s the best color i’ve ever gotten i love it

I dyed my hair red twice and the first two weeks looks red other than that it's orangy brown, recently I dyed it purple and it's not so much different but the color you end up with is pinkish brown

Tbis is soooo true, I've dyed my hair many colors, pink, purple, red, green, blue, and I've only had this problem with red, all my towels were red, my brushes, my pillow cases, all of it BUT IT ALSO STAYS FOREVER BRO. I dyed it 2 years ago and it wasn't even visible anymore at all but when I bleached my ends it came out pink and when I dyed all of it purple it was partly red

Another thing I think is really important to consider: red is one of the hardest colors to get rid of from your hair. You will basically have red/orange undertones for the rest of your life (well, rest of your hair's life anyway). It's still one of the prettiest colors and I've had it multiple times, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to someone who wants to switch hair colors often.

super hard to get out when it sticks!! dyed my hair red around october with a semi permanent box hair dye, it’s now almost may and i have to change it to brown for my school musical but the red shows through the brown 😭

I don’t regret dying my hair red but now when I get highlights I have a faint tint of pink at the ends but I love it. It looks like a strawberry blush color. So cute
