Shiela Guo says Alice is not her sister | ABS-CBN News

Shiela Guo, the woman believed to be the sister of Alice Guo based on government records, told senators on Tuesday (August 27) that she and the dismissed Bamban mayor are not biologically related.

The relationship of Shiela and Alice came under scrutiny during the hearing of a Senate subcommittee investigating their escape from the Philippines. According to Shiela, she was actually a Chinese citizen who came to the Philippines when she was 16 or 17 to work in an embroidery business upon the orders of her "father."

She said that Jian Zhong Guo, Alice's father, was only her foster father in the Philippines. Shiela added that she was born in China and her mother is currently living there.
