bro please can you at some point do follow ups to the videos you've made so far on DNA history of various regions/communities? These are fascinating topics, but also incredibly vast. I loved your videos on Indian, Iranian, Italian and Greek DNA histories. Would love to see more and more detailed content with histories and data. Also please feel free to make longer videos and include more depth, we can listen to you for hours! Thanks and keep it up!

My Dad was adopted by a sicilian- American family in New Orleans in the 1940’s. We always assumed he was either Cajun, Spanish, or of Sicilian ancestry, because he’s dark. People use to say he looks like Al Capone. He just took a dna test and he’s almost 100% Irish. We were shocked 😮

Good video, just pointing out to any readers that the majority of Irish people have brown hair. Red hair is a minority hair colour in Ireland and its grossly exaggerated in the media and the public consciousnes (especially in America) that the Irish are a "red haired race". We aren't. Sorry. We are a brown haired race (often very dark brown, almost black). We (and Scotland, closely followed by England) have a higher percentage of red heads then anywhere else BUT its still a minority trait and only a very small percentage of Irish people have (or have ever had) red hair.

Loved your video on turkish people. Could you do one on Koreans as well? Ancient Korea had some overlapping history with the Göktürk and we also had a multi race country called Balhae (발해) composed of ancient Koreans and Tungusic people. Super interested in what modern Korean genes have come to be during the process of immigration and war during history.

I’ve seen my dna chart change drastically over the years. I got Ancestry’s version about 5-7 years ago and I realize it changes overtime as more people give their dna, but I see big discrepancies between my close family so I might just take you up on your offer.

So I plan on taking one of these DNA test soon. I've been told by my folks that I'm Irish, Scottish and Cherokee. You should have fun with that one.

interesting.... how did the red hair phenotype arise during this evolutionary history?

Those DNA companies lump Irish into British.. utter bunkum. West of Ireland is distinct..as are coastal people and their history as opposed to the more central and Eastern Irish people.

It wasn't a migration of Scott's, it was a invasion/plantation

Apparently the majority Male line in Ireland came from the Sredny Stog Culture who were ancestral to the Yamnaya and Corded Ware Cultures. Corded Ware was a Brother to Yamnaya. So it went like this: Sredny Stog > Corded Ware > Single Grave > Bell Beaker > Irish.

Please make a video for the Scottish as well!

This explains the black Irish phenomenon well (dark hair, brown eyes, olive skin) and it's not just Irish. Any Celt can have that phenotype believe me, my Scottish mum and her family have that general look
