I live in Hawaii, on Oahu. Gas prices didn’t bother me as much as milk. We had dairies here, Meadow Gold & Foremost, yet I was paying $8/gal of milk while my friends on mainland paid $.99. Eggs, too. We don’t have dollar stores either.
So many times I see mainland prices and feel cheated!

My husband and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon in 1995. We drove the road to Hana on Maui and there was only one gas station and gas was $2/gallon. I took a picture because I was sure I would never see gas that expensive again 😂

Same here…I’m from Kailua, Hawaii. Island is Oahu. People ask what my accent is and then do I want to go back? Sure I do..in my case…my relatives are all there. Most, if not all my cousins have 2 jobs. The key to me is to never leave in the first place. If you do, it’s very difficult to go back or especially first timers. Having your relatives live there does help. You can go visit for say a month and not have to pay for hotel and car. But, the food and gas prices are so overwhelming high exactly as seen here in the video. Fun fact..we say “tree” for 3. Plus, we pronounce Tuesday as “chews day” Lol I love your channel!! Mahalo 🌺🌸

I'm in AZ and gas is about $4 a gallon. We are all literally filling your pain 🤷🏻‍♀️

Currently €1.60 a litre for unleaded petrol here in Ireland. That's just over €6 a gallon I think. That's the lowest it has been for ages. It was €2.00 per litre there for a while. Diesel usually costs more too. Don't think you are doing too bad! Cost of living is insane everywhere. 🇮🇪

In Malaysia, with subsidy and tax free of fuel products, it cost about $0.46 per liter for RON 95 fuel. So roughly $1.75 per gallon.

Gas is around $3.03 a gal here in Southern Wisconsin. But it was 2, something for a while before that.

For anyone thinking 4.20 is average, it's not. This is at a Costco. Probably gotta add like 50 cents through a dollar. Give or take.

I’ve lived in both CA and Hawaii and CA takes the cake on their sky high gas prices. However the cost of living in Hawaii is insane. $8 for a half of a loaf of sourdough at FoodLand, $8 for a gallon of milk….. insane. Not to mention it came in on a boat and is a week from it’s expiration date. 🤪

South Africa 🇿🇦 its R24 a litre for diesel that’s $5 a gallon.

It fluctuates and goes up to R27 a litre.

It’s insane.
