Liam Payne, a former singer with the British boyband One Direction, has died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina, police in Buenos Aires said.
The musician, 31, was said to have fallen from a balcony at a hotel in the Palermo neighbourhood of the city, TN, an Argentinian television channel, said. La Nacion, an Argentinian newspaper, reported that “police officers from the 14B police station went to the hotel after a 911 call was made, where they were informed about an aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.” The ambulance service was called and confirmed the death, the report added.
“At 17.04 we were alerted through 911 about a person who was in the inner courtyard of the Casa Azul hotel,” Alberto Crescenti, an emergency medical doctor at the Buenos Aires city public emergency medical services system, told TN.
