Mames guey, es como el Dembele en el Barcelona. The funny thing is that he looks-and probably is- the strongest guy in the Yankees. I mean he looks fucking huge.

i don't see this going passed 15 days which is better than when we had him the first few years when he was in the 60 day every year. despite his injury bug i've always appreciated him and his hard contact.

Cold weather and big guys combine for pulled muscles or worse. You have to wonder if the Yankees' management and trainers even think about preventive therapies like stretching, yoga, training with swimming to stretch muscle fiber rather than just weight training, heating the muscles a bit in the dug-out, etc. This is also an issue with the pitching staff.
Stanton was doing so well. It's sad.

I love Stanton.. I say it all the time. But considering his contract and time missed it is one of the worst contracts in not only Yankees history but Baseball history.

The Yankees is becoming the team people expect big money from and then just sit on IL for half a season.

I get not sprinting out of the box like Brett Gardner or Ichiro but when he walks out and stares at that shit? That's arrogance and Yankees should stop tolerating it. That's not him trying to be cautious, it's him being a typical 2023 ballplayer trying to land on ESPN's highlight reel.

He hasn't learned a damned thing from that 2021 Wild Card game where he mashed a ball and stared at it like he was Babe Ruth then it landed off the wall and he lost the opportunity for a double in a win or go home game trailing. Normally, that would humble someone to stop walking out of the box every time he hits a flyball. But even last year, batting .211 for majority of the season, he would admire his homeruns like he was carrying the team on his back.

Why act surprised? As yankee fans we know he can hit the ball far and always get hurt. I hope he is not out for long.

To be fair, everyone in the stadium, including Michael Kay thought that ball was gonna end up in the seats.
