The Iranian Navy suffered a crippling defeat at the hands of the American Navy and lost half of its naval strength. The United States Navy 🇺🇸 called it good had dinner and called it a day. It goes to show you just how powerful the United States Navy 🇺🇸 truly is. And the scary part is. I bet ya our Navy didn't use even a quarter of its capabilities. 😂😂

I was on a supply ship that was part of this battle group. We had a 16 hour day prior refueling/supplying the battle group. We didn't find out about all of this until the next day. Sure made all of the underway time worthwhile.

What is not mentioned is that the Samuel B Roberts made it back to a friendly port after it's keel was torn in half and the ship had already taken on half its weight in water. The crew was able to keep the ship afloat because of the damage control systems and procedures in place and this allowed the Samuel B Roberts to survive long enough to be towed back to Maine and have a while new module installed.

She was back in service a year later with a brand new keel and hull section.
