The cylinder looks like a standard, low-grade Kwikset unit, which means the electronics can be ignored and the mechanical part can be bypassed as easily as any "dumb" Kwikset lock.  Besides, many houses in America have large glass windows or sliding glass doors that can be opened with a brick in 2 seconds.

My Armorax security system is compatible with this door lock and being able to lock and unlock doors from my phone has made my life so much easier!

I've seen this adapted for Hotel use. Super handy and cuts down on waste using the magnetic, plastic keys that you usually get.

I would worry about the elements damaging the internals. For now i would only use it on bedroom doors and the like. Of course for the price you can for the standard lock. However in the future i can see this replacing the onld standard key n lock.

Hey it auto-locks when you walk away from the door right? If your phone was left in the bedroom; so its not close to the door and then you went outside for a while will it lock? Also, if its locked and you're phone is on the inside, the antenna on the inner section of the lock would be the one communicating with the mobile device, how would you now get back inside when you touch the lock for it to open?

A simple propane torch (the kind used for copper pipes) should provide a quick way in.

I have a kevo lock! It is a very good lock! If you have any questions if be glad to answer them! They are very handy and my younger brothers love it!

I read some of the reviews that it kept freezing up and not opening or it would unlock for no apparent reason when your in your house.

my family got this for christmas, sometimes it doesn't even pick up my phone or my key fob and i don't bring the actual key with me, so if one of my family members wasn't always home i'd probably be locked outside for 3 hours in the winter. also, the lights on it aren't too bad in the day, but in the night, you might as well have a giant disco ball on your head looool, its a good product, just needs a few tweaks. i also have the only iphone in my house so my family cant even use the app haha
