I know that arizona has likely the most ratio between the coldest and hottest temperature

Record low is off, for North Dakota. I live in the Third coldest city in the USA. In the last 100 years the temperature from Jan through February can reach a nice Balmy -40 for the High!!!! The lowest I have ever seen it in the last 8 years was -60 without the wind! Add wind and the guys were trying to work in - 80 but they shut Everything down. The coldest was -100 with the wind. Guys cannot work in that. Three years ago there was a man that froze to death next to the highway in the Middle of town when he stopped after dark to drop his pants. He was found the next morning still in the sitting position, frozen.
Yup it is COLD here.
