How to easily create a set of custom keyboard shortcuts in Windows using 'Autohotkey'

In this video, I demonstrate how to create a complete set of custom keyboard shortcuts to launch applications, websites, open files and more. This approach doesn't interfere with existing hotkeys, just lets you add new ones.

I use something similar to this file daily and can say that it just makes using the computer a lot easier and more predictable to use.

There are a lot of functionalities in Autohotkey which go beyond the scope of this video, but some examples of possible iterations on a project like this would be:
A) Wrap the commands in a test which checks if the window is open first before opening a second instance
B) Build a user interface around it using only Autohotkey and Windows
C) Adding "hot strings" for saved text blurbs like canned email replies
etc.
