The Division Between the Two Cultures in UP Diliman

The students were tasked to study the possible divide between arts and science in the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD). The method used to determine if this divide exists is by interviewing UPD students. The students conducted an online survey and one-on-one interviews to collect data.

In the one-on-one interviews, Arts students were asked if they know of or are at least familiar with arbitrarily selected science concepts, and vice-versa. If the interviewees are not familiar with a concept then it will be explained to them. After ensuring that they understand the concept, the interviewees
were then asked if said concept has a relation or a possible application to their course.
