Grand Geyser erupting by itself (Yellowstone NP, Upper Geyser Basin)

Показать описание
Grand Geyser erupted for about a minute or so by itself, then Turban Geyser (smaller and immediately to left) and then Vent Geyser (small by intense jet to left of Turban) then erupted. (See separate video of all 3 erupting). August 2nd 2021.
(Note: this is the common eruption pattern since the are linked underground, along with several other nearby small geysers.) Turban erupts by itself about every 18 minutes or so, but Grand Geyser is only about every 6.5~7 hours (currently).
This is the highest spouting "Predictable" geyser in the world, with eruptions of around 200 feet.
(The tallest known geyser is Steamboat Geyser in Norris Geyser Basin of Yellowstone, but it is very unpredictable. It can blow up to 380 feet.)

Wait that’s possible? Experienced professional geyser gazers said it was impossible for grand to go off without vent
