Oak Mountain State Park - Thunder and Lightning Trails

I lived in Alabama for almost my whole life but never rode oak mountain until now. It was a lot of fun. Oak Mountain also features an IMBA Epic ride if you are down for a challenge.

I want to get into riding trails and roads and as I lose weight maybe hit up some intermediate I'm a 6'2 man weighing in at 315lbs... I don't have a deep pockets (1K Tops id go) so what would you suggest..?
