A week ago I said goodbye to the Note 20 Ultra. I wanted to switch to the Fold 2 and use it as my daily. Now a week has passed, and I want to update you and tell you if I will keep the Fold 2 or Note 20 Ultra.

Is the Fold 2 really better than the Note 20 Ultra?

The Fold2 is a game changer for me - I always went with the latest and greatest but having used the F2, I can't go back to slab phones now. The front screen actually comes into a lot of use for quick firing tasks, and the main screen is just perfect for media, reading, and heavy use. The price for both the N20U and the F2 I had to opt for the foldable. In regards to the keyboard, swiping is fantastic on the cover screen, and the main screen has many customisations for however you feel comfortable with typing.
If you're using it as a phone you're not looking at the refresh rate of the screen you're holding it to your ear or using it via watch/buds/accessories.
Apps: yes - it's an early adopter depsite the Fold1 having been out over a year - but with Samsung and Microsoft's partnership more apps are joining the optimization scene, and it will only become better.
The crease is barely noticeable when you're actually using it, unless you actively try to look for it and feel it. When you just forget about it, it is a problem at all. You also have to accept its a foldable it is just physics lol.
I used the Tab S6 as my primary device over my phone until this came out - now I don't to lug around the tablet with me when i have a mini tablet that can foldably go into my pocket.
After discounts and rebates, my Fold2 cost less than a brand new N20U - so price-wise I'm ...OK. Of course you have to accept it's a flagship, and will break the initial price bracket of other phones.
I know Samsung are working on foldable digitzers for pen support, but for the time being, I could never comfortably use the pen on the Note series, (and I had the Note 10+ 5G) but the tablet is much more nicer for pen use, so I'm OK with having the tablet for pen use and use my Fold2 as my primary device.
But, it's whatver makes happy.

Yeah, you made the right call. It all boils down to what makes you happy. All the tech in the world doesn't matter if that tech doesn't perform the way you need it to.

I did the opposite, I kept the Fold 2, it's everything in one package. Best device I've used in 13 years.

Remember the fold is supposed to replace the tablet in the sense of portability not size. Sounds like having the two separate is what works best for you. Respect for trying it out

The water issue plus that huge dent would be an issue. Then the screen size and messaging. No S pen. Pass for me. I love my 20 Ultra. From your video stating you were switching, I knew you’d be back. 🤩

It's such a personal thing, and for you, the right decision was made. Interesting because after I tried the Fold2 for approximately a week, I returned it and mostly for ALL the same reasons you mentioned! It was hard for me to put into words, but you 100% summed it up! After returning it and having almost 2K put back on my credit card, I knew I made the right decision. Too many big issues that I wasn't happy with when paying 2K. For me, the logical thing to do.

Thanks Saki, that makes a *lot* of sense!
I was considering getting the Fold as my next 'daily driver'. I currently have the S10+ 5g. Now I'll probably wait a generation and see what comes out next year.
(I'm finding it hard to find _anything_ better than the note 10+...)
