Deep in the heart of Ferrari's iconic Maranello headquarters lies a private car collection that is quite possibly the finest and most exclusive on the entire planet... and I was invited along to check it out!

This is where some of the most history-drenched race cars that sport the prancing horse badge are tucked away – Ferrari's secret F1 car storage facility.

Thanks to Ferrari's Filippo Petrucci, we were shown around what can only be described as heaven by any self-respecting motorsport enthusiast, presented with competitive cars from many of the greats over the years, including Schumacher, Villeneuve, Prost, Alesi, Raikkonen, Mansell and many, many more.

Sit back and enjoy reminiscing on this extremely special moment with me – it's unfortunately the closest any of us are ever going to get to seeing it in real life again!

Ben you legend. Fifty year old F1 fan here. This video is absolute adult content for me. In 80 or 81 I begged my parents for a tyrell P34 6 wheeler model. They didn't want to get it because of my age but I finished it. Even down to cutting the bronze mesh for the air intakes. Thanks mate. Just the depth of those rims and the way teams were allowed to find the limit. Not now. It's sad. Design within tolerances which ensures no advancement! And you are THE best stig by far! Having to wait until 7:30 every Tuesday was special

As a race enthusiast from Quebec it gave me chills to know that you were a fan of Gilles Villeneuve. Not only is he our national hero but I personally believe no driver was or ever will be as spectacular as him. Salut Gilles

What a special collection of F1 cars! Ben Collins is a lucky legend.
The curator reminds me of my father in law at a younger age.

I never knew Michael Schumacher did so much work in the car with all the settings being tweaked all the time. What an amazing man .

Through the video Filippo warmed to Ben and understood that Ben really likes these cars there was a connection there that developed and that is fun to see. The whole steering wheel bit though was hilarious, Ben clearly wanted to hold it but Filippo was holding it and pointing at things and Ben just wanted to grab it and hold it. Great Vid though, thanks so much for it.

MANY many years ago, they did a Ferrari Clienti day at Willow Springs of all places. I was at The Streets of Willow with my dad doing a POC day so I defected over to drool. There were a few F1 cars lapping, one being the last 12. That thing going around Willow... SO MUCH SCREAMING V12 noise omg. Also, there was a F50 GT1 that did laps. So rad.

Ah you missed my favourite - the 1995 412T2. I remember watching it around Monaco on Tv when Berger finished 3rd. Alesi was sliding it around Sainte Devote. Even though those old TVs, the sound of that V12 powering up the hill - WOW! Everyone else had V8 and V10s that year. Ferrari stuck it out with the V12. I'm glad they did.

I’ll never forget that famous American GP at Indy, when all the teams except for Ferrari and, someone else, simply entered the pits after the formation lap because of issues with the tires not handling the loads coming off of… was it turn 11. Onto the main straight. Obviously, it must have been the Michelin tires that were failing.

To say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, would be an understatement. Absolutely wonderful to see so much history and engineering through the ages of F1.

The best insight to this place that I’ve seen a few videos and pictures of before. There could be 5 parts to this. 👏🏽

Ben, I'm a Ferrari nut and the only thing I can say is huge thanks for doing this for all of us. I wish Niki's 312T had been there, as that car is where it all started for me. Thanks again, Rob.
