In my opinion some stuff looked great (f ex the gambas and scallops(?)) but other stuff seemed to me like typical stuff thats expensive and associated with luxury but lacks of quality compared to other stuff in the same price region (f ex dom perignon or a plate with just caviar)

Being a few kilometers up in the sky has a numbing effect on our tastebuds… I can’t help but feel like drinking such greats wines and champagne in this context is a waste because you can’t actually taste them well. (this is not a critic toward Alexander at all, just a general point of view about eating premium food/drinking premium drinks on planes)

Eating and drinking on an airplane can be less enjoyable because the taste of food and beverages often changes, making things taste saltier and less flavorful. Why eat expensive foods. It is a waste.
