Well said, DK. The Steelers should have kept Rudolph year before last. He's proved he can sling it.

You make me smile with all your writings, daily shots & podcasts and especially when you give kudos to my favorite player. Maybe Mason will finally get his football justice.

The same national media guys that don’t think Mason is good enough to be a bridge QB will throw out ideas about Teddy Bridgewater, Jamis Winston, Tyrod Taylor, & Jacoby Brissett as being options for other teams. I think Mason is better than all of them at this point in his Career

Mason Rudolph should get his chance. He has the ability to win games. If the offense protects him well we could still have a playoff shot. Thank you DK

We all needed a little DK positivity regarding the offense. Thanks for this. It’s easy to spiral with this team

Good answer on the j1q DK. The o line Has to keep him clean, and give him time in the pocket.

Honestly if it’s between Mason or spending another 20 million on Rodgers or Wilson? I’ll just take Mason

DK you are right the Offense is better just with Metcalf. QB I think is a push with hope it's better. Improve where we can without blowing the budget on old QBs. Wait for your guy to arrive there.

Load the offense best you can and....let Mason do his thing.

With DK and GP you have two WR who take up a whole lot of attention.

All you need is a QB who doesn't turn it over and can get the ball to the skill position guys. Basically a game manager who can make a play for you here and there.

My father and I had this heated "agreement" we'll call it that Mason should've been the guy from the moment Ben retired and they were left searching.

I'm unironically excited to see what Rudolph can bring, and genuinely hope he has a redemption tour and puts the league on notice.

(I'm also a bleeding heart optimist)

Rudolph is a seasoned veteran now, he can make the throws across the middle, he's got good sizes, he can see the field, he's got a decent arm and can throw the deep ball. Only God knows how far we can go. Spend money on that offensive line in the draft in free agency if need be.

I would rather have Mason at a reasonable salary as a bridge than overpay for a washed up bridge qb....

I hope they don't get anyone else ahead of Mason. Finally you're saying you don't really want the old heads. I think Mason will shut all the naysayers up. I sincerely hope he gets the chance.

No one has been more critical of Mike T in a purely football sense than I have, but I actually think his general emphasis in taking care of the ball, along with the matured version of Mason's game is actually a good fit. With a QB than can hang in the pocket & deliver the football with velocity from multiple arm angles over the middle will mean that area will be utilized much more - regardless of what Mike T says.

The way I could see it going south is, when playing confident, Mason's QB rating is around 110. When he was pressing to prove himself or pressing on a bad team, his QB rating is around 78. There's an real chance that he could do something special with this offense as constructed. (relatively to what going into the season with Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, & a very limited version of Russell Wilson provided since Ben's retirement - the bar isn't very high with the only QBs being in the top 32 of QB EPA has been Fields & Rudolph, ironically).

I won't put a probability on that, as I think the extremes on both sides of the argument are equally as silly, but rolling with a QB with prototypical size & rare arm talent is an intriguing option as this franchise is actually doing a good job setting itself up for the '26 draft & '26 season.
