I have a bunch of the fragrances you featured, and soapy fragrances is one of my favorite genres. One thing though: I separate soapy fragrances from powdery ones. I see them as two separate but related sub-genres. They are two separate and distinct accords on Fragrantica, although they often seem to confuse the two. But they are treated as two distinct accords there. For example, Maison Martin Margiela Replica Bubble Bath has "soapy" listed as the top accord, but maybe the 5th or so accord listed further down is "powdery". Many from your list I would consider powdery more than soapy. Amouage Reflection Man for example. Also many of the first group on your list may have powdery/soapy facets, but I wouldn't have considered them soapy.
So a few remarks about a few of the frags on your list...
Fred Hayman Touch: I have this and just sprayed it on card. A sweeter Brut. If you look at the Fragrantica comments for this, it looks like the actual perfumer wrote a comment in response to a negative comment. He says he remembers the day when the brand requested him to recreate Brut.

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme: It smells like cheap Laundry detergent to me.

Dior Savage: The ambroxen smells like Laundry detergent or even chlorinated swimming pool water.

Kouros: Not a Fougere. Not even a Chypré. It actually belongs to the genre "Grotesque". I only smelled it once and I couldn't eat for a week. Even its perfumer, Pierre Bourdon, dislikes it. I didn't think it had any powdery/soapy facets, but I looked up the accords in Fragrantica and sure enough, powdery is listed.

Creed Original Vetiver: The most squeaky-clean out-of-the-shower scent I have. Along with Penhaligon Castile, maybe one of my favorite soapy scents. Iinterestingly, some people argue that it's not a soapy scent.

Faccanoble: I have this and also just sprayed it on card. Nice, fresh, unique.

Prada fragrances: They are the "King of the soapy fragrances". I have Prada L'homme and Amber and a decant of Prada L'homme L'eau. I like L'homme the best.

Sung Homme by Alfred Sung: I wasn't familiar with this but had heard of it. And since you included it in your "Soapy kings", I searched for a bottle and found one for $14. So I just bought it!

Now, a few other soapy fragrances I would add to the list:

I wore John Varvatos Artisan Pure today. Very nice balanced citrus and soap. Same with Xerjoff Nio.
Demeter Pure Soap: surprisingly good.

Penhaligon Castile

Gendarme: Hypoallergenic soapy scent. Favorite of Hollywood elite. Said to smell like Southern California swimming pools.

Old Spice: Actually powdery.

English Laundry Arrogant: Soapy Fougere.

Floris Elite: My favorite Floris and from 1980. It has a fairly prominent soapy facet.

Tiffany for Men: From 1989, it's like a hybrid of Chanel Pour Monsieur and the slightly sweet powderiness of CK Obsession for Men. Actually one of my favorite.

Maison Martin Margiela Replica Bubble Bath: Discussed above. Soapy and a little powdery.

Wrote down Fred Hayman's Touch Parlux.
Those vintage Paco Rabanne's you talked about are amazing scents.
The Prada's are exceptional also.
Amazing and well-put-together list.
Was wearing Zino vintage today.
Love it and thank you.

Myself, having somewhat recently sprung for Bon Monsieur and Fougère L'Aube (...after adoring my Mousse Illuminée bottle for years), found myself after a few wearings doing the "for the life of me, why are these not giving me the jollies I recall them originally providing when sampled" - probably years ago now...And, seeing you bring up refomulation; hehe it ONLY makes sense🤦🏻‍♂... Loving it, Ramsey. Loving. It 🙏

Great job I do love soapy facets in fragrances, like Sauvage Elixir I enjoy when it hits a shaving soap in the mid lovely, you did a sterling job Rams. Enjoyed this one a lot 🙏✌️👍

I do like soapy, powdery fragrances. Being a wetshaver some of the soap maufacturers also do fragrances sharing similar traits. One in particular Klar Seifen a german soap manufacturer as well as a great shave soap with a super 'clean' scent is a favourite, they do a matching aftershave which I really like. The Prada exclusive you showed I have a few of those, came in a mixed box I bought at auction. I have the Benjoin, Opopanax and the Myrrh, they are lovely, typically Prada on the gentle side. In fact the one you have Cuir Styrax and the Prada's at the end are by the same perfumer, who also did Une Amourette Roland Mouret by Eldo which could be added to this subject. It reminds me of a clean smelling light leather jacket, one of my favourite discoveries.

the small, thingy under an C means you read it as an S, not K (and most definitely not SH) (so without the, you'd read it as faKonable, with it it's faSonable)

Agree on Lyric Man (and it's a masculine soap) 👍 but that Lyric Woman is full bottle worthy. I found a tester bottle, good price but it's being sold without the cap XD and I ❤️ that Lyric cap...

This video makes me wanna shower with some good old Irish spring then dump an entire bottle of a vintage after shave (brut or old spice) all over myself. I’m probably going tonight now. Thanx for yet another great informative video mate.

I always get a kick out of Ramsey when he smells or holds a fragrance he truly loves and exclaims "Oh God". I think it's funny when I read Fragrantica reviews of a fragrance and the reviewers says "very soapy, don't like it" or something to that effect. Who doesn't like a clean scent? Pigpen from Peanuts? I can understand expecting something, getting something else and being dislike clean don't get it.

Great video. Haven't finished it yet but I normally don't like fresh fragrances, but 90s fresh is the only real fresh that I enjoy. Although I do like some of the Prada stuff. Faconnable kind of reminds me of other '90s fresher stuff, like three formulations of Dolce and Gabbana pour homme. I like the soap vibe in Halston 1-12, too.

Sung Homme is now on par with Prada Amber pour homme as my favourite soapy clean fragrance and thanks to a previous video of yours mentioning Sung and putting it on my radar, I managed to grab a sealed vintage edt bottle off ebay for the same low price as a newer bottle.... the original bottles have built-in sprayers and they say 'spray' on the box, not vaporiser like the new one's do.

Sotn was Esencia edt. Quite bright and soapy to my nose in the drydown, but nothing waxy like some early Guerlains. Nailed Green Water, Sung Homme, Amber Pour Homme and Reflection. And believe it or not, the juniper in the newest formulation of Boss #1 comes off soapy on my skin. You wouldn't get it from the atomizer, but it overtakes the honey in the mid for a wonderful turnaround. Really enjoying the stuff in the autumn. 🧼

Great video again! I MUST get Fleur de Mal. I’d definitely add Santa Maria Novella’s Melograno and Naviglio by Milano Fragranze (Masque Milano’s sister company). Marseille by CDG is also decent, if somewhat synthetic and simple (I spray it on my sheets!).

Reflection and Gaultier fleur came out when neroli portofino was smashing it . Maybe Neroli was a thing post millennium.
