"Caleb Williams has not lived up to expectations after 8 games, but it's not a big deal." Actually it is because it could well lead to the OC and Head Coach being fired and the offense having to start over from scratch next season.

Shoot maybe keeping Justin and using the slew of picks building up our lines is any topic from the past. I still stand on we could have won with Justin, if we gave him the talent around him.

Justin had a hurt line and George Pickens. That’s it. If do more with less was a man, his name would be Justin Fields. I never understood why anyone thought Caleb was better than JD. I’m not down on Caleb, I knew he couldn’t beat Notre Dame. JD won the Heisman at QB. What math are people doing? Sustainable?! JD is playing the same way he played in college. So is Caleb. I just want to quote DJ Moore, “ They not better than Justin” Please, pretty please. Go and watch his highlights in college. He is not just beating teams, he is lighting them the fuck up! He is crushing the competition at QB! Ask Trevor Lawrence. All Justin needs is what any QB needs. A line, a rb, competent WRs. They don’t have to be world beaters, but if they are, he will feed them! A freaking freak show of speeed power and above all else a Football mind. He is more intelligent than his last three coaches on offense. Has a better idea, what is going on than all his coordinators he had in Chicago. They had to get rid of him, because they were embarrassing themselves and needed a scapegoat. Fuck Caleb Williams. I mean, I want him to do well, because he is my QB, but I am getting Shane Mathews vibes. I never liked Shane. That was a 💩 comparison, but that’s how much I miss Justin. Caleb is good, but compared to Justin, he is a generational nail tech. Justin is the generational QB. I am 47 going on 48. I never saw a running back, knock a man out at the goal line, the way I saw Justin truck the defender in Detroit. The man was unconscious. Generations will come and go, before we see that again.

USC didn't have a great offensive line either, yet Caleb was able to throw the ball down field in college. So, I can't blame the offensive line play entirely for Calebs performance. Now, being a rookie and the offensive line issues to this extent, yes... that adds up. The problem is this can stifle Caleb's development, could ruin him honestly. I see signs of panic at times where it seems pretty clear he's unsure of what he needs to do orrrr he's getting gunshy. You get your clock rung NFL style enough times a kid is going to be nervous back there and overthrown balls is a good sign he's getting wound up. That can develop into a real problem, one he never truly overcomes. I think Caleb was the obvious and right pick, if there's a pick to question it has to be the Odunze pick as that could have been a starting Offensive lineman. Something we obviously needed. Don't misunderstand me, I loved the Odunze pick... but I'm a fan and the responsibility for that pick doesn't fall on me. Poles was an offensive lineman and the O Line was something he was supposed to take care of. I'm not expecting greatness at this point, but definitely something better than Caleb being pressured half the time he goes to pass and no the injuries are no excuse, not for this level of terrible. Poles wanted to keep Eberflus... Poles chose not to pick an O lineman. Poles approved the hire of our OC and offensive line coach. Yes, he's done good as well in getting the teams salary cap squared away and the Carolina trade are a couple of those things, but right now considering the results on the field it's much more of a mixed bag.

Poles: Claypool, Davis, Velus, Pickens, Leatherwood, Flus, Wright, Pingle, ESB, , Everett, Oline depth, Edwards, Tonyan….
Some hits, but lots of misses. So I no longer fully believe in Poles. I’ve got concerns.

You have been making excuses, we lost against the freaking patriots, clearly as of now not only does it look like we've drafted the wrong QB we let go one.

The way Caleb hyped himself up, he deserves to be beat up a little on the plays where his throws have caused the loss of down. He really has missed many throws that he had time and an open receiver. The man has plenty of weapons!!! Mid teir QB at best 😢

He seems so momentum based the two games where they started with a plan of running the ball and getting all the weapons involved they actually looked like an offense

I want to be optimistic for Caleb but he gives me lots of doubts. He is the #1 pick and plays like he is a third rounder. He is shaky and has lost his swagger. You can see he wants to win but he has bad habits to break and accuracy to improve. Going into the Pats game he is below both Maye and Bo Nix. Watch the tapes of Nix and look at how he maneuvers in the pocket and his coolness under fire. He is also a way better runner than Caleb. One thing for sure is the offense Shane runs and refuses to adjust is nowhere as QB friendly as Nix has to work with. You have to put the blame so far on the coaching staff who chose to ignore his college flaws and installed a long developing offense which forces Caleb into throwing the long ball. The league has figured him out and unless he works hard and the OC grows a brain this guy will be a middling QB at best. Give it the year, this is not a year we can compete with a team with these coaches. Just don't break him please.

Here's the problem with his assessment that is false. Jayden is more poised in the pocket and Jayden has better ball location. That has nothing to do running this nonsense college offense 🙄. JD5 does make his reads at a better rate. Listen to the QB school he breaks it down better than this guy

Caleb Williams is just the latest victim in a long list of Chicago Bears mismanagement. Fire the owners. Fire Flus/Waldron immediately. Let’s see if there’s someone on the staff who can actually showcase the talent on the team. Poles, your time is coming too.

We have to be patient with Caleb Williams he needs better protection on the offensive line and a running game

People need to remember Peyton had a TERRIBLE rookie year. RG3 had a way better rookie season than Luck and ended up winning rookie of the year. How’d it go for Peyton after that? Who had the better career, Luck or RG3?? Daniels may have the better rookie season, but Caleb may have the better career once he gets a competent new HC.

I totally understand why you mentioned Justin, but it's driving me crazy how people are talking about. We should have kept Justin over. Caleb. After eight games. Like I keep saying, those are the same people. That said, we need to give Justin more time after 40 games. I love what you do with the channel. You do a great job! Keep killing it, Swift!

How does he compare to the other rookies too. Bo and Drake?

My question is, would Jayden Daniels be performing better than Caleb if he were running the Bears offense? I tend to think not so, but even if he did, he would probably be on season ending IR already imho. Caleb is going through the refiners fire. I just hope he survives and comes out stronger on the other side. 💪 Bear Down brothers.

I find all you people hilarious. Williams has always been a 3 year rental. After that he’ll demand a trade. As usual the Bears have shit themselves. Mark it. And if you want to make a few bucks bet the opponents for the rest of the season. Their 2nd round pick might be better than the one they’re getting from the panthers. But that doesn’t matter either because Poles will use it to draft a player who isn’t physically able to play!

The question arises what Kliff Kingsbury would have gotten out of J. Fields. with all the draft picks that could have been used for the offensive line
C.Williams will improve. He carries the burden of first choice on his shoulders. The question is whether they have the patience with the staff or make the same mistakes they made with M. Trubisky and J. Fields
