Forget Unity! Android XR Development Just Got Easier

Показать описание
Android XR has been officially released and their first mixed-reality headset will be Project Moohan by Samsung. Just like Quest 3, it is an Android based XR operating system using the Qualcomm XR2+ chipset.
Finally we have a serious competitor to the Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro. This is just the beginning of the war for the metaverse!
My New Years Resolution is to build an app or game for Android XR.
Currently there are 4 ways to build VR / AR apps and games for Android XR:
1) Unity
2) C/C++ and OpenXR
3) WebXR
4) Jetpack Compose XR (Kotlin)
In this video we'll dive into the new Android Jetpack Compose XR API and improve on the preview xr-samples project by Google. We'll create some new Android XR samples to help you learn Android XR Development in preparation for the Samsung Project Moohan headset.
We'll learn how to make a grid of spatial panels, add 3D glTF objects and scenes, how to change the 360 environment with HDR / EXR background images, and how to render spatial video / side-by-side stereo video.
We've covered XR development on Quest with 2) and 1) in previous videos so make sure to check those out:
