This is a video about SEO optimization -- tips for digital writers and content creators who want to improve the Google rankings of their stories and blog posts.

I've been watching a lot of content creator advice videos online lately and so many of them recommend that creators should try to bring a level of expertise to the platform. I never thought about doing this before now, but I thought I'd make a video about what I've learned about SEO optimization and digital writing from my 20 years of working for big media brands in the US (mostly fashion, women's media, and food publications). Caveat: the Google algorithm changes all the time, so what I've included in this video are some very fundamental best practices that I would give to any writer or digital editor working for a website that is trying to scale through search.
