What are the signs and symptoms of a kidney tumor? Kidney cancer (often called renal cancer) is a mass of cells in the tissues of the kidneys, the organs responsible for removing waste from your body and producing urine.

Kidney cancer typically develops as a single tumor in one kidney, but multiple tumors may be found in one or both kidneys, too.

My friend has just been diagnosed with kidney cancer. She had bleeding but also severe pain, so much so that the initial suspicion was kidney stones. Early days yet and we do not know if it is the primary site or whether it has metastisised. Hopefully not. She still continues to have intermittent severe pain so it does not always appear to be painless.
