I totally agree with you with the energy thing! I saw in the background the weird book with a broken doll face and for some strange reason I got it, and I just had to get rid of it! It was just beyond my limit of scary from the first page!XD

Yay for turning your boyfriend into a reader!!! I did that with my hubby. Did I hear you mention All American Boys? That's my son's summer read for school. I'm going to be reading it too because it sounds really good. You definitely NEED the illustrated HP books. We have a few versions of HP; you can never have too many :)

I went to Bookfest in my city and it was just a table of sneak peek books. I was disappointed :( but I did grab Veronica Roth's "Carve the Mark". Haven't read it yet, but that was the only thing I had to look forward to since I'm a HUGE Divergent fan. And I wandered around and found Colleen Hoover's "Confess" for $5. It was amazing how you ran into someone who's starting a YouTube channel. I constantly think of joining YouTube since I love the community but there's not many Black booktubers and the more popular booktubers are die-hard fantasy fans when I want to see more YA contemporary and New Adult stuff.

If you are really going to read the shadowhunter books read them in publication order, but at the very least finish the Infernal Devices before reading City of Heavenly Fire. Also, keep in mind that City of bones is not the best book; you just have to power through the first one.

I absolutely love The Mortal Instruments, and The Infernal Devices. I was counting the days until Lady Midnight came out and I love it just as much. The City of Bones movie was kind of disappointing, and I was really uncertain about Shadowhunters (when it was first announced), but I was pleased with it.

Um, was that Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover? I would love to know his thoughts? Lol, his face at 3:10 when you said we can read them together. I am slowly working my way through the Shadow Hunter world. I read on Cassandra's website that the best way to read them is CoB, CoA, CoG, (then The Infernal Devices) CoFA, CoLS, CoHF (then The Bane Cronicles, Shadowhunter Academy) and finally Lady Midnight. I love this vlog because you're like my FAVORITE booktuber and also the only blog I read so naturally your vlog had me interested. You just have a great positive vibe about you that makes me very interested in everything you have to say lol (Hope that doesn't sound creepy)
Anyways, I haven't read anything thriller like or scary. I never tried either, they don't seem to interest me. I can watch the movies but reading, idk if I can handle lol

You Americans have no idea how lucky you are that your bookstores sell hardbacks. In New Zealand you will not find a hardback copy of a book. Ever.
