My aunt once told me that a good rule of thumb is for a parent to make their children laugh a minimum of once a day. I think that´s good advice, and we´ve tried our best to follow it. Sometimes it´s hard, sometimes it´s easy, but we do have generally happy kids with a sense of humour.
