of "LIFE ON THE REEF" lead academic from the University of the Sunshine Coast Dr Kathy Townsend introduces her scientific team from LEAF to REEF. A multi disciplinary team that are working together to quantify the biodiversity of Lady Elliot Island and surrounding waters as part of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation's Reef Islands Initiative.

LIFE ON THE REEF
A fresh new ocean docuseries for ocean, nature and wildlife lovers. This series take you behind the scene of the research that goes on on Lady Elliot Island. A little coral cay island on the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

Each episode takes you behind the scenes with the research teams who are out in the field trying to better understand the natural wonders of Australia's Great Barrier Reef, from the microscopic to it's apex predators we dive in and take a closer look and try to uncover why these creatures that call this place home.

Each episode takes you on an adventure and unfolds a new story of LIFE ON THE REEF

Both Ben and Di love the ocean and are both advocates for protecting and conserving this amazing natural environment. They believe that the best way to protect the ocean is to get people to fall in love with it first. By collaborating with experts and sharing these films they hope to achieve that. LIFE ON THE REEF is their way of sharing the beauty and a better understanding of this special place in hope that the more people that fall in love with this place the more people will be interested in saving and protecting the ocean and the creatures big and small that call this place home.

LADY ELLIOT ISLAND
Located on the Southern Great Barrier Reef Queensland Australia. A place where you can absorb yourself in the presence of Manta Rays, sharks, turtles and whales doing their thing. Colorful corals, fish, this island is truly a place where the Great Barrier Reef is still Great.
