Books can't just be distributed as the VP stated here. It has to pass through the approval of DepEd before students get it or even before a school library carries it. If that is her personal work, why burden the government a budget to finance its publication? VP Sara clearly stated that students who have voter parents will receive a copy. This is vividly intended as an election paraphernalia. The lower house will see this proceeding, so I'm sure congress members will prepare a steamier encounter.

Mas mabuti pa ang bata kung iba ang sagot niya sa tanong sa kanya dahil isip bata siya. Ngunit sa isang VP, na gustong maging Presidente, ganon kaya sumagot sa tanong ng mga press people kapag invited siya sa ibang bansa? The Philippines do not deserve a Vice President like this... Imagine P10million to buy a non-sense book for political and personal gains of the VP... You can not ask the government to buy your book for your political gains with public funds... The congress should approve Sen. Riza's ammendment to put and reallign OVP's budget to the proper agencies and not to approve the P10M budget for that book... OVP should only have P1 budget for year 2025... no salary for the whole office. Put the budget of the OVP to help the poor Filipino people...

Conflict of interest talaga ito! Bakit ang kaban ng bayan ang magbabayad ng pagpapublish ng libro nya. She should self finance the publication of her book and it shouldn't be distributed to all public schools.
